Elmhurst police Leading Senior Constable Grant Healey spearheaded the town’s fundraising with a car wash.
A group which included police and Country Fire Association volunteers washed more than 50 cars in wintry conditions on November 12.
They raised $700, to take their total to $1000 and make them platinum Movember members.
In Ararat Chalambar Golf Club hosted an outdoor movie night with the assistance of Ararat Rural City Council.
It saw $690 raised, which was passed on GJ Gardner Ararat to contribute to their campaign, while GJ Gardner raised $2401.
Chalambar Golf Club manager Tim Cronin said there were more than 75 people at the open air cinema night. “Everyone enjoyed it, people had not been out here before, so people came in to enjoy the facilities and the night,” he said.
“We had entertainment up on the deck with some food then went down and watched the movie.”
Leading Senior Constable Healey said he wanted to thank all the sponsors who help the Elmhurst car wash.
“We had a fantastic day washing cars at the Elmhurst Police Station.”
