VicRoads regional director Ewen Nevett said the sessions would be different because of planning status for each project.
Mr Nevett said a drop-in session will present new concept designs to the community at the Ararat RSL on Thursday from 3pm to 7pm.
“This will be the community’s first opportunity to view the concept designs for the interchange connecting to the Western Highway north-west of Ararat,” he said.
“We want people to provide feedback on the way they would like the interchange to operate and interact with existing roads, local areas and the impacts it would have.
“We will also update the community on how their feedback has influenced the designs of the eastern interchange and the interchange at Pyrenees Highway.”
The Beaufort Bypass will be discussed at a community meeting at the Goldfields Recreation Reserve on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm.
“The Minister for Planning has invited public comment on the draft scoping requirements for the Beaufort Bypass Environment Effects Statement, and we’re encouraging people to review the documentation and make a submission on the scope of the EES,” he said.
“The draft scoping requirements were prepared by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning in line with the ministerial guidelines and under the Environment Effects Act 1978.
“They outline the issues that will be investigated and reported on in the effects statement.”
Mr Nevett said VicRoads wanted people to provide the department with feedback before submissions for the effects statement close on December 9.
“A public information session will be held in Beaufort on Wednesday, December 7 with DELWP,” he said.
“The draft scoping requirements will be presented at the session, and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the EES process, and assist community members in providing feedback.”
