Pilgrim will continue as senior coach in 2017 and said it was an easy decision.
“Tatyoon are such a wonderful club filled with committed and dedicated players, committee members and volunteers,” he said.
Club president Sue Knight said it was important to keep Pilgrim at the club.
“When we signed Adrian, we planned for a two-year agreement,” she said.
“Obviously winning the flag is a great endorsement of him as a coach and player, and also of the entire playing group.”
Luke Nicholas has stepped down as joint reserves coach leaving Andrew Marx as the stand alone coach for the 2017 season.
Harry Ganley will step into the vacant role Arthur Armstrong has left in the under-16.5 coaching ranks after three years of service.
Ganley will share the duties with Sean Arnott who will stay in the role he had in 2016.
