Pearce was recognised for more than 30 years of hard work with the Horsham Amateur Basketball Association.
HABA junior vice president Lee O’Grady said Pearce has the respect of everyone that walks on to the basketball court.
“From kids learning the game to adults who have played for ages,” O’Grady said.
“She has an infectious personality, one that resonates with all who come into her company.”
As well as being a prominent referee, Pearce educate’s under-10 basketballers about how to play and understand the sport. She has also been an active board member for more than 20 years and acts as a mentor to young referees.
WRSA executive officer David Berry said volunteers like Pearce who don’t ask for anything are the reason the award is offered.
