Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy has encouraged Wimmera clubs to apply for the current round of grants that will close on December 7.
“Funding assistance is available for facility improvements like change room upgrades, court refurbishments, ground resurface works or lighting installation,” Ms Kealy said.
“This year I have been proud to official open Minyip Recreation Reserve upgraded change rooms and resurfaced netball courts, and the fantastic new Coughlin Park Community Centre which was funded by the Nationals when in government.
“Having high quality sporting facilities in country Victoria is central to encouraging more people to join local sporting clubs, to get active and join the great social network of our sporting clubs.”
Clubs must register their interest in applying for funding by submitting an Expression of Interest to their local council.
Expression of interest forms and further information are available online at the Sports and Recreation Victoria website.
