Staff member leaves health service in Ararat after police investigation

ARARAT - East Grampians Health Service has confirmed that a staff member has left its employ following a police investigation into a number of allegations by residents and staff at an EGHS aged care facility.

"While I am not at liberty to discuss the nature of the allegations I want to stress that the welfare and safety of our residents is always our number one concern," chief executive Nick Bush said.

The Health Service has notified residents and their relatives of the issues and continues to offer support.

The allegations were reported to police and the Department of Health and Ageing.
