But now the four-year-old’s ashes rest in an urn shaped like her most prized possession – her cowboy boots – after she passed away in a car accident on Remembrance Drive four months ago.

Her mother Kathryn Brown described Isabella as “never naughty, just perfect”. 

“I am honoured to have been a mother to Isabella,” she said.

Now Ms Brown, her partner Thomas Huby and their two-year-old daughter Monique want to build a memorial garden to Isabella in their Beaufort home. 

Plans include a cubby painted like a country saloon to honour Isabella’s love of all things western, toadstools to sit on and an old chimney painted like a castle.

“We just want somewhere we can sit and cherish her even though she is no longer with us. We want to remember all the good times. She loved to run and play and dance and she loved Emma off the Wiggles.”

Ms Brown said blue was Isabella’s favourite colour, because it was also her mother’s, but she was a real “daddy’s little girl”. “She loved cars and motorbikes too.”

Ms Brown said she also wanted a garden for Isabella’s little friends to come and visit. 

“She loved kinder and she had so many friends who wrote us little letters and drew pictures for us. We want people to come and ... enjoy our little joy with us.”

Ms Brown said she wanted the garden to be green all year round for the little girl who “touched everybody’s heart”. 

“Even though she was only four, there was over 200 people at her service. 

“She thought horses were the best thing and she loved her boots – she was a shoe fanatic – and she kept them in such good condition. She had such an imagination and she was such a good big sister to Monique. 

“As sad as it is to lose her, I’m so honoured I got to spend those four years with her. She has been taken away from us but I can still stand so tall and proud of her.”
