It will be the second week in a row the two teams have met after the Demons beat the Magpies by 63 points at Lismore in round 18.
Magpies coach Joe Otto said his team needs to move on quickly.
"Last week was a pretty intense sort of game,” he said.
"It will step up again this week because there is more at stake.
“So our boys have to be prepared to step up to the next level.”
Otto said he expects a tough game early on.
“It will be a nice tight contest,” he said.
“But I think the game will open up as the game goes on.”
The Magpies only kicked six goals against the Demons in round 18 match.
Otto said he wants team to focus on improving on creating opportunities for goal.
“Last week we fell down across our half forward line,” he said
“This week will be a new look forward line for us so hopefully that boosts our scoring on Saturday.”
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac’s squad will be boosted by the return of players from injury.
The Magpies will have to be ready for a physical game against the Demons.
Otto said Lismore-Derrinallum were a tough side.
“They are quite a physical and strong team,” he said.
Otto said his team must put in a four quarter effort to be any chance to win a spot in the semi-final match against Tatyoon.
“We must concentrate on our intensity and ball movement for the full game,” he said.
“I think it will be a pretty high scoring game so our defenders will need to be on their game.”
With a clear day forecast Otto said he does not think the neutral ground at Mininera will favour either club on Saturday.
“It should be good conditions for the game so that should make for a good game of footy,” he said.
The Magpies finished the home and away season in second position with 15 wins and a percentage of 160.
Their only losses were to Glenthompson-Dunkeld in round 7, Tatyoon in round 12 and Lismore-Derrinallum in round 18.
The winner will earn the right to take on Tatyoon in the second semi-final at Penshurst on September 3, with the winner of that match heading straight to the grand final the following week.
The loser will play at Ararat’s Alexandra Oval against the winner of the Hawkesdale-Macarthur v Penshurst elimination final on September 4. The first bounce in the senior qualifying final at Mininera will be at 2.15pm.
