The Eagles smashed Great Western by 39 goals in their best performance for 2016.
They return home to host Wickliffe-Lake Bolac on Saturday.
it will be another interesting contest as both teams are capable of winning.
Lisa Haddow has been playing consistent netball in the mid-court for the Eagles, whether it be in the centre or at wing attack.
She is a steadying influence and provides plenty of encouragement and leadership to her team mates.
Eagles A Grade coach Lisa Haddow said her side will be ready for the challenge.
“Simone McDonald has so much experience at goal shooter for Wickliffe-Lake Bolac,” she said.
“Jordan Leggett had a good game last week, so she will be up for it.
“Last time we played them, we weren’t in the best form.
“We are more settled this time.”
Haddow said that the Alana Jenkins and Sarah West combination is getting better each week.
“Alana Jenkins is improving,” she said, “she has had a couple of years at senior level now and is really well supported by Sarah West at goal attack.
“We definitely think we can win.
“We talked at training about some areas that we think we have improved in.
“The margin was 21 goals last time we played but the girls have definitely settled a lot since we last played them.
“We just really want to be competitive.”
The Pies have had a pretty good season and will be keen to put in another top performance.
Kerrie Dendle is in great form, providing plenty of agility and precision in the circle for the Magpies.
Her ability to create space under the ring is her strength but she will need to play in front to stop her opponent from creating turnovers.
Wickliffe-Lake Bolac’s defence is led by Amanda Clark who is a strong contributor each week making it difficult for her opponent.
Her dual with Sarah West will be interesting.
Tayla Notting has also been performing well each week and it will be interesting to see where she lines up as it has varied from game to game depending on the team’s need.
The expectation is that this match will be close if both teams play to their potential.
Magpies A Grade coach Doug Cameron said they have plenty to improve on following their 21-goal loss in round 14 to Woorndoo-Mortlake.
“We’re back in with a strong team this weekend,” he said.
“We’ve missed a few players in the last few weeks, they will be back this weekend.
“We came out of last week with some positives, so we’ll look to build on the shortcomings from last week.”
Cameron said they have a few options to try and curtail Jenkins’ influence.
“Amanda Clark has been very strong in defence the last few weeks,” he said.
“Kerrie Dendle is also down there to help out.”
Cameron said he expects the side to build on their performances in the last four games of the season.
“Everyone has come back reasonably healthy after last week,” he said
“We have a fit squad to pick from.
“We are just looking to finish the season as strong as we can.
“And to finish as high on the ladder as we can.”
