WIMMERA Landcare is running a competition Wimmera-wide to see what trees that are out there in the region. The competition starts in July.

Landcare intends to run a monthly competition with a theme for each month and a short story.
Each month’s winner and story will appear in the local press, on Wimmera Catchment Management Authority’s website and Wimmera Landcare’s Facebook page.
Entrants need to submit a clear photo and supporting information.
The cut-off date is the last Friday of each month.
Photos can be posted on the Facebook page Trees of the Wimmera.
The themes chosen for the first six months are:
- July – Biggest Tree
- August – Bulloke
- September – Oldest Tree
- October – Best Specimen Tree
- November – Wattle
- December – Favourite School-yard Tree
