The 19-year-old model has featured in several episodes as an extra with her latest appearance coming on Monday night.
The small screen debut is one part of her busy modelling schedule, which so far has included work for Yamaha, Cotton On and Country Road.
She also has an upcoming campaign with Vodafone.
Miss O’Loughlan said she had never expected to add acting to her long list of talents, but had found the move a good transition.
“Drama in high school was my least favourite subject so I never thought I would enter into that world,” she said.
“It caught me by surprise but the main thing that got me into it was the modelling.
“I just tried to pick it up from what I do modeling.”
She said her days on the Neighbours set were often long.
The many hours shooting sometimes only resulted in brief appearances on the screen when the show airs three months later.
After finishing school at Ararat’s Marian College Miss O’Loughlan relocated to Ballarat where she lives with her sister and boyfriend.
She regularly travels to Melbourne where she spends a lot of her time working.
As a child she grew up on a farm at Ballyrogan near Ararat where her parents still live.
She said her family and friends in Ararat offered plenty of support for her.
“Mum and dad are still back on the farm, my mum is from the Philippines and I have an older sister as well,” she said.
“They are super excited and I wish could see them more because I live in Ballarat.
“But I am always in Melbourne, so it is hard with that.
“I always keep them updated and dad is always so interested in what I am doing.”
For no Miss O’Loughlan said she intends to focus on her modelling career.
“I love being busy with this,” she said.
“Every day I could meet someone new, I am never in the same place and I am always travelling around.”
