Lloyd told the the Sydney website that despite attention from other clubs his intention was always to sign with the Swans.
“I’m really happy to get it out of the way before the end of the season, now I can focus on the next five weeks and then finals,” he said.
“You want to focus on footy but it’s always in the back of your mind I guess.”
Lloyd played his junior football with the Horsham Demons.
The Swans picked him up in the 2012 AFL rookie draft at pick 16.
In round five of 2014 against Fremantle he got the chance to make his debut.
He has played all but one of Sydney’s matches since debuting, bringing his games tally to 60.
“I’ve progressed each year and this year has been by far my best at the club,” he said.
“I started as a rookie and obviously had to work to get a game of senior footy and get upgraded to the senior list.
“I’ve still got to work hard on the track each week and continue to improve.”
Sydney Swans general manager of football Tom Harley said the club was rapt to have Lloyd locked in.
“It’s great to have another up-and-coming player recommit to the Swans,” Harley said.
“Jake has been really consistent for us this year. His versatility is very important and he has developed trust among his team mates.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Jake continue to develop and take his game to the next level.”
