FORMER Horsham Demon Jake Lloyd has signed a new two-year deal with AFL club the Sydney Swans.
The Swans made the announcement on the club’s website on Tuesday.
The new deal will see Lloyd remain in red and white until at least the end of season 2018.
The Swans recruited Lloyd via the rookie draft with pick 16 in 2012.
He made his AFL debut for the club in round five, 2014, and went on to play the remaining 21 games of the season – including all three finals.
The 22-year-old has played 60 of a possible 61 games since his debut for the Swans.
Football general manager Tom Harley told the club’s website the Swans were rapt to have Lloyd locked in.
“It’s great to have another up-and-coming player recommit to the Swans,” Harley said.
“Jake has been really consistent for us this year. His versatility is very important and he has developed trust amongst his team mates.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Jake continue to develop and take his game to the next level.”
