The match started very evenly with both teams making simple unforced errors.
Courtney Morrow was prolific through the mid court as she set up numerous drives and then delivering accurately into the circle.
Only one goal separated the teams at quarter time, with Great Western marginally in front.
The game remained close, but Great Western were able to open up their lead in the third quarter.
Brooke McKenzie was inspirational for Great Western with a solid performance at goal attack. She was strong and able to shoot accurately.
It was four goals the difference at the final break so the game was still anyone’s to win.
Plenty of pressure was applied on all players in the last quarter as individuals rallied to lift their team to victory. McKenzie and Mollie Simpson however didn’t need any second chances as they were efficient with their shooting.
Great Western went on to win by nine goals.
