The last time the two sides met, the Tigers defeated the Roos 103 to 56.
Both teams are coming off hefty losses in round 11.
This could be a defining match in the league, with the Roos desperate to record a win in this year’s competition and the Tigers in need of a victory to keep the club’s finals hopes alive.
Roos coach Hamish Exell said his side was in need of a strong start.
“You can see how much it costs a side when you don’t start well,” he said.
“It is hard to get momentum in a season when you haven’t won a game but we recently had the lights put up and I can see more of an improvement.”
Allistair McKinnon will rejoin the side to inject some experience into the squad.
The lights at Dimboola Recreation Reserve have recently been installed.
Exell said that the new lights had created a better feeling at the club.
Tigers coach Alan Bennett said both teams would be eager for a win.
“We know this game will be a tough contest for both sides,” he said.
“We are long time rivals.
“We will continue to work to our strengths.”
Bennett said that he would be looking for a full team contribution in the upcoming match.
