Natimuk United lagged in the first half as the Saints took the opportunity to fly to the lead, 10.13 (149) – 1.2 (24).
Although the Rams steadily improved their competitive edge the Saints proved too strong and delivered a victory, 21.23 (149) – 3.6 (24).
Saints coach Michael Rowe said his side was consistent throughout.
“The boys were really switched on and we knew we needed to play four quarters,” he said.
“To Natimuk United’s credit they gave it a good crack.”
The side’s lead gave Rowe the opportunity to rest some key players, including Samuel McClure.
James Rowe made a terrific comeback for the side, playing his first game for the Saints since round one, kicking four goals.
Jak Ryan and Bernard Kealy were also key players for the Saints.
