The last time the two sides met Warriors dealt the Rats a heavy defeat downing Ararat by 70 points.
Warriors are sitting third on the table after flexing their muscles by defeating second placed Horsham Demons by 87 points last weekend.
Warriors coach Brad Thomas said that he is happy his side are hitting their straps as they close in on the pointy end of the season.
“This is going to be a huge match for us,” Thomas said.
“We looked well in our game last week but so did Ararat.
We will have to play our best football to overcome them.”
Thomas said that the Rats are strong when they get off to a good start.
“They don’t stop when they start off fast,” he said.
“We cannot let them get in front in the first quarter.”
Thomas said that the Warriors will need to stay composed.
“Ararat beat Nhill – Nhill beat Saints and Saints beat Minyip - it shows if you have a quiet day and another side is having a good day anything can happen this year,” he said.
Warriors will be going into the match unchanged from their dominant display against Demons.
“We will have to work on our structure with their big ground,” said Thomas.
“I’m expecting a great match, it is a big game for Ararat as well and it is great that it is anyone’s this year.”
The first bounce is scheduled to take place from 2.20 at Alexandra Oval.
