The Gad enjoyed a 9-6 victory over the Ararat Breakers, while the Aces sit in fifth after defeating last-place Court House 10-2.
Ararat Bar Flys romped to a thumping 13-2 win over the Stormers.
Leopold, which sits in second place, had the bye. Percentage separates second place to sixth place on the ladder.
Meanwhile, in B Grade, only percentage separates the two top teams – Leopold Dirty Ducks and Court House Assassins – after five matches.
The Dirty Ducks were pushed all the way by Ararat Roadies before prevailing 8-7, while the Assassins easily accounted for the Wannabees 11-4.
The Ararat B’Rats were almost as clinical, dispatching the Ararat Old Fellas 10-5 to move up into fourth place on the ladder. The Roadies sit in third place on the ladder, followed by the B’Rats.
