Woorndoo-Mortlake’s defence has the best record in the game, only conceding 282 goals for the season.
This may prove difficult for the Hawks to break down.
Hawks are coming off of a great win against an ever present SMW Rovers side to keep themselves in the top four.
Hawks coach Maryanne McDougall said this game will be a test of the team’s abilities.
“We haven’t played against them yet so it will be interesting,” she said.
“The side has been going well the last couple of weeks, it was good to score a lot of goals against Great Western last week.
“Our service has improved a lot,” said McDougall.
McDougall said she only expects her side to match the opposition.
“I will be hoping to learn some things to help the side in the future,” she said.
“If we can surprise them I think we will have a good shot.
“We got off to a great start against Rovers, if we didn’t we would have been neck and neck the whole game,” said McDougall. McDougall said she is expecting the unexpected. “Last year they were favourites to win the final and ended up losing so they will be very keen.”
