After a difficult round seven battle the Giants defeated the Bombers 50-42.
The Giants put up their strongest fight in the second quarter taking a 26-23 lead at the main break.
They moved Amy Walder from wing attack to goal keeper to match Bomber Sharon Fedke’s shooting in the second half.
Giants coach Maddie Foott said her side managed to continue keep in front during the third term
“We played a more consistent game this week,” she said.
“We’re taking each week as it comes and trying to keep improving.”
Amy Walder and Emma Uebergang were standouts for this week, while Foott commended Zali Brown for outstanding shooting.
Uebergang and Annabel Stewart were the Giants’ best.
Bombers coach Sharon Fedke said her side was disappointed with the loss.
“We would’ve liked to have won for Yolanda Francis’ 350th game,” she said.
“She never leaves anything behind, giving 110% and putting her heart and soul into the game.”
Brooke Pay was the standout player for the Noradjuha-Quantong.
The defender continued her stellar season in the back half.
