On Friday's trade the All Ordinaries finished up 17.82 points or 0.33 per cent.
On Monday, Flight Centre Travel Group provided a trading update, stating it expected to surpass its annual sales record by $1.4 billion in 2015-16, as all countries track towards new milestones.
Flight Centre also announced operational and capital expenditure had increased, as a result of investments made to underpin its product, shop, business, sales, people and digital strategic journeys.
FLT slumped $3.29 to finish the trading week at $32.79.
On Tuesday, CSL announced the US Food and Drug Administration had approved Seqirus FLUCELVAX QUADRIVALENT, the first four-strain, cell culture-derived, inactivated seasonal influenza vaccine for people aged four and older.
CSL added nine cents on the news and closed at $115.73.
On Wednesday, Wesfarmers advised a number of significant items expected to be included in its 2016 full-year financial results.
These are restructuring costs and provisions of $145 million to significantly re-base Target and provide a stronger platform for the future.
WES lost seven cents to close at $41.17.
On Thursday, SkyCity Entertainment Group signed an agreement with the South Australian government to start early works as part of the Adelaide Casino expansion and Adelaide riverbank precinct development.
These early works will include modifications to Festival Drive, grade levelling, temporary pedestrian access and signage, structural piling, modifications to loading docks and relocation of existing services.
SKC lost five cents ending the week at $4.40.
At the close of weekly trading, the gold price finished at $1216.70 an ounce, the WTI oil price traded at $49.33 a barrel, and the Australian dollar was worth US $0.72.
In the US on Friday night, the Dow Jones finished up 44.93 points to end the week at 17,873.22.
This result has caused the Share Price Index (SPI) to move up 23 points to 5433, which should lead to a positive start to Monday’s trading.
