Western District Employment Access (WDEA) releases a certain amount of money back into the community each year, and Pinnacle was informed in May of its application success.

Daryle Baldock, Pinnacle staff member and team manager of the Tri-State Games team, said the organisation was lucky to receive the $6500 grant. 

“There were a lot of applications. We were fortunate,” Mr Baldock said. 

On Tuesday, Maureen Brady and Kylie Costello from WDEA presented the cheque to Pinnacle. 

Pinnacle’s new trailer is specially made by Ararat’s Mark Walker. It will be built to hold a large amount of equipment, and is the same as the trailer used by the Tri-State Games committee.

The trailer will be needed for a number of events, particularly November’s Tri-State Games in Horsham. 

It will also be used for the Pinnacle’s cricket tournaments and its new holiday program. This new initiative is for clients wishing to travel. They can now book their trip through Pinnacle. 

The new trailer is a huge asset to Pinnacle, particularly as its Tri-State Games team grows. 

“With the first trailer, we had 10 team members going and now there’s 21 so we definitely needed a bigger trailer,” Mr Baldock said. 

“At the moment, all the gear they’ve got is just pushed into the trailer. With the new one, it’s not going to be as difficult to load.” 

Mr Baldock said the new trailer was a bonus for the holiday program. The program is already receiving requests for holidays. 

Pinnacle’s first holiday is to Corowa, scheduled for June 14. The trips will be able to a cater for a dozen or more people.

The trailer is in the process of being made, and Pinnacle hopes it will be delivered in the next 2-3 weeks.
