The girl was flown to a Melbourne hospital in a serious condition after she was hit by a ute at Balmoral on April 4.
Hamilton police said the incident happened at the front of a Balmoral address.
The girl suffered chest and abdominal injuries and was airlifted to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The girl’s mother said her daughter was expected to make a full recovery.
Hamilton Sergeant Mark Phillips said the matter had been investigated and there was insufficient evidence for any charges to be laid.
“The little girl is doing fine and is back home again,” he said.
