AT LEAST three people were injured in a two-car collision near Laharum.
A Victoria Police media spokeswoman said the incident happened at the intersection of Wonwondah-Dadswells Bridge Road – which becomes Laharum Road – and Northern Grampians Road about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
“There were five people in one vehicle, and three people with injuries in that car,” she said.
“The five people were overseas tourists.
“We are not sure how many people were taken to hospital, but we believe one person was airlifted to Melbourne.
“A female driver from Horsham was the sole occupant of the other vehicle.
“She was not injured.
“She was travelling north on Northern Grampians Road and collided with the other vehicle travelling west on Wonwondah-Dadswells Bridge Road.”
Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the incident.
6.30pm Wednesday
ROAD closures are in place near Laharum after a two-car incident on Tuesday afternoon.
VicRoads has closed Northern Grampians Road at Coombes Road and advised people travelling in the area to seek a detour.
The incident is on Laharum Road.
Emergency services remain on scene but are unable to provide any further information at this stage.
5.10pm Wednesday
A TWO-CAR incident at Laharum is now controlled.
Emergency services were called to a road rescue on Laharum Road south-east of Horsham just after 4.40pm on Tuesday.
The Country Fire Authority incident website listed the road incident as ‘under control’ about 5.10pm. It was listed as ‘safe’ a short time later.
The website also lists a ‘road rescue trap’, which is still ongoing.
Horsham police members are at the scene.
Police said the incident involved two cars but they could not provide any further detail.

EMERGENCY services are responding to a reported crash near Laharum.
The Country Fire Authority incident website listed an incident on Laharum Road south-east of Horsham just before 4.40pm on Tuesday.
It lists a road accident and a ‘road rescue trap’.
Multiple vehicles are responding to a request for assistance.
Police are also on the scene.
