The branch welcomed guest speaker Days for Girls advocate Robyn Suttie at a recent meeting.
Days for Girls is an international not-for-profit organisation with a mission to create a dignified, free and educated world.
Days for Girls creates and distributes feminine hygiene kits across the world to girls who would not otherwise have access to such products.
Since 2008, the organisation helped donate more than 300,000 kits distributed in over 100 countries.
After the Stawell branch learned about the important work of Days for Girls, members decided to donate the profits from catering at the Stawell Gift Calcutta to the cause. The branch raised $105, which will purchase purchase kits. To find out more, people can visit www.daysforgirls.org
