Bail given following arrest for assault
AN ARARAT man was taken to hospital in Melbourne after he was allegedly assaulted at a property on Lambert Street on Monday.

Ararat Detective Senior Constable Jason Boyd said the assault left the man, 42, seriously injured.
Another Ararat man, 26, was arrested and given bail to appear before the Ararat Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
Det Sen Const Boyd said police were also appealing for any witnesses who might have seen a related fight on High Street earlier that evening.
