FRIDAY’S Ararat meeting has been shifted to Donald, after heavy rainfall made the former unsafe for racing.

The eight-race card, consisting of four maidens, three 0-58 handicaps and a Benchmark 64 handicap, has been shifted about 120 kilometres north.
The Ararat racetrack had received 16 millimetres of rain since 6 am on Thursday, and with more showers forecast, Racing Victoria made the decision to move the meeting in consultation with the Ararat Turf Club.
