A good field of players contested the day’s event that saw Bextream take out the Ararat Hotel monthly medal with a score of 86-21-65.
The battle for the runner up trophy was a lot tighter. A countback was required to decide the winner, with Brian Richards (82-14-68) claiming the goods over his nephew Jade Richards.
Nearest pins went to Ross Atkin on the eighth hole and Brian Richards fired on the ninth.
Robert Jenkins finished on top of Saturday’s stableford event. Jenkins returned 39 points, finishing two ahead of his nearest rival PJ Burton (37).
Burton scored nearest the pin on the third hole while Ken Mahney again won on the ninth.
The week before was a stroke contest at Aradale. Mick Collins was victorious after Saturday’s play, with his score of 83-15-68 from Mick Bextream (93-21-72).
Nearest pins went to Olive Gibson (third hole), PJ Burton (eighth) and Ken Mahney (ninth).
This Saturday is a stroke competition at Aradale, while Sunday is a bogey.
