Ms Burwood’s memoir is an account of significant events that culminated in one crippling experience.
It is a period of her life told with searing honesty and wry humour in a powerful conversation-starting memoir.
Ms Burwood is an experienced teacher who has taught in schools in Victoria and Western Australia.
She has also worked for the School of the Air in Queensland.
At the time of her life-changing experience she was working as a librarian at the Australian National Library in Canberra.
Ms Burwood was a previous manager librarian at Ararat Regional Library.
She now works for Grampians Community Health in the area of disability and inclusive communities.
