A large white Coates Hire water truck was stolen from a property about 10.30pm on Saturday. It was seen driving east on Barkly Street past the Ararat Hotel towards Vincent Street and a few minutes later driving west on Barkly Street back past the Ararat Hotel.
The vehicle did a full circle of the Viewpoint Street roundabout before being abandoned in Taylor Street next to the Ararat Bakery.
A blueish-grey 8-foot x 5-foot box trailer was stolen from an Elizabeth Street home between 3.30pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday. The trailer has registration plates S79216 and contained an estimated $20,000 worth of tools.
Between 7.30pm on Saturday and 7.30am on Sunday thieves stole a Honda CR50 motorcycle, gold-coloured 27-inch ‘Giant’ racing bike and a silver-coloured 26-inch ‘Giant’ racing bike from a shed on Port Fairy Road.
