The law firm is celebrating the fact it is now open five days a week at 66 Barkly Street.
Saines Lucas Solicitors is one of the largest independent personal injury law firms in Western Victoria, providing services to clients from Melbourne to the South Australian border.
“The days of a solicitor who does everything are gone, the law is too complicated for that,” Practice Manager Malcolm Sinclair said.
“If someone wants a solicitor they want it now, they don’t want to come back tomorrow, it doesn’t work like that.
“At Saines Lucas Solicitors we build and sustain quality relationships with our clients by facilitating success in a range of practices, from Family Law, Property Law, Wills, Powers of Attorney (financial and medical) and Administration of Deceased Estates, Business law, Commercial and Civil Advice and Litigation, Industrial and Employment Law and Criminal Law.”
The law firm already has two offices in Ballarat, an office in Horsham and visiting offices from Melton through to Maryborough.
“We’ve had an office in Ararat partially for more than 18 months and we’ve seen the business grow,” Mr Sinclair said.
“We now believe that we have the need to have an office here full-time.”
Mr Sinclair said the law firm is community minded.
“In Horsham and Ballarat we sponsor basketball, badminton and football, everything under the sun,” he said.
“We want to do the same here.”
Receptionist Jodie Wells has lived in the region for more than 20 years.
“I have a lot to do with the community, so it is nice to be back in Ararat working and being able to see everyone,” she said.
“People can come in and see me and I can help refer them onto the person that is most appropriate.”
The reopening suffered a setback in August when a fire in a neighbouring building caused extensive smoke and water damage to its premises.
“The local trades people were able to pull together and very promptly get the business back up and running for us,” Ms Wells said.
Saines Lucas Solicitors wish to thank Sally Gallagher (cleaner), Rob and Jodie (Carpet Choice), Anthony Hayes (handyman), Marc Bradshaw (electrician), Phil Clarke (First National Real Estate) and Stephen Hughan (Hughan Nursery).
Ararat residents have been urged to attend an official open day on Wednesday, October 28 where they will have the opportunity to seek advice from the law firm’s various specialists.
