The category allows all businesses that have made applications in the Awards to be eligible to win the People's Choice Award.
Hosted by Ararat Rural City, Pyrenees Shire and Northern Grampians Shire Councils, the biennial event is an opportunity for business owners to gain recognition for their efforts and recent achievements.
Ararat Rural City Mayor, Cr Paul Hooper said the People's Choice Award provided the community with the ability to actively take part in the Awards, with each vote counting.
"The People's Choice Award provides residents an opportunity to acknowledge a local business that has provided them with great service or gone above and beyond to please their customers," he said.
"Voting is simple and we hope that people get behind their favourite business, this Award would be a great morale booster for any business within the region.”
People are asked to go online and follow the simple voting process to ensure their favourite business is recognised.
Votes can be submitted by visiting www.grampianspyrenees.com and following the People's Choice Award link.
Voting for the People's Choice Awards closes on October 31.
Winners of the individual Awards including the People's Choice Award will be announced at the Gala Dinner on Wednesday December 2 at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre.
