The A grade two-day format was scrapped as the one-day and Twenty20 format gained popularity among clubs and players.
Tatyoon will be looking to bounce back from a horror 2014/15 season when it tackles Buangor. However, it must overcome the Ganley brothers (Jack and Harry) and this is no easy task.
Aradale host Pomonal in what should be a tight contest. Brent Tate, Travis Horvatek along with up-and-comer, Riley Wood, are set to lead the way for the hosts while Lee Oliver and Al McKay return for Pomonal.
Halls Gap will be welcomed to the GCA’s premier division with the test of taking on reigning champions Swifts/Great Western.
Halls Gap are reigning premiers in their own right having won the B grade division, but stepping up to A grade will be a big challenge.
Sean Mantell and Damon Folkes will ensure Halls Gap have some heavy hitters and will no doubt be matched by Swifts/Great Western’s Sam Cocks, James Devery and Travis Nicholson.
Youth Club will fancy its chances against Chalambar, who struggled in their first season at the top level.
