President, Kaye Chamings reported on the successful year that the centre has had with the addition of eight new members, greater usage of the centre for toddler groups, successful fundraising from the film day as well as being a recipient of Minister for Health Volunteer Awards.

Five life memberships were also awarded to long-time volunteers of the centre.

Irene Shaw, Margaret McMillan, Meg Bell, Ruth de Fegely and Val Tosch were the inaugural recipients and all were recognised for their 20 years or more of service to the Ark Toy and Activity Centre.

"All five ladies have made an exceptional contribution to the auxiliary and have seen many changes throughout their time with us,” Mrs Chamings said.

“It has been an honour to induct Irene, Margaret, Meg, Ruth and Val as life members."

East Grampians Health Service's Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Harrison, praised the dedication and commitment of the life members to the Ark Toy and Activity Centre.

"It is fantastic to see our volunteers being recognised for their outstanding work in providing this essential service that accommodates the needs of our community members,” she said.
