EGHS Chief Executive, Nick Bush, said that offering training locally is important in encouraging local people to undertake studies to build their skills and provide a future workforce.
Twelve students began their training in July.
Kylie Newson said it was excellent to be able to undertake a Certificate III in Aged Care in Ararat.
"I would not have been able to do it without it being near my home," she said.
EGHS Education Manager, Heather Phillips said it was wonderful to have 12 local people up-skilling to personal carers.
“I hope that some of the students continue training to undertake the Diploma of Nursing course at EGHS in 2016," she said.
