There will even be the chance for those who attend to contribute to the growing ceramic poppy display designed to honour people from Ararat and surrounding districts who served in World War One.
"This is an opportunity for the public to become involved in this art project," Senior art teacher, Simone Conroy said.
"Perhaps make a poppy dedicated to their relatives."
The school's poppy project is being spearheaded by senior ceramics teacher John Eagle and has been running all year.
"We need to make about 1800 poppies for the final display that will be opened at the school on Remembrance Day in November," Ms Conroy said.
"It would be great to have as many people involved in the project as possible and opening it up to the community allows for people to be part of the final project."
The open day will run from 10am until 4pm and there will be assistants to help with the process.
There will be signs and balloons directing the public from the side entrance gate on Kings Street.
If anyone has further enquiries, contact the school on 5352 3861, or 0434 628 881 on Saturday.
