Last Sunday, Rovers and Bombers battled for the final spot in the premiership decider.
Bombers got off to a flying start, kicking five goals in the first quarter to Rovers’ one. This had set them up for the next three quarters. They played extremely well as a team using all their players effectively. It was Bombers’ straight kicking that sealed the game.
Ethan Summers was best on ground for the Rovers, while Bombers Brenton Lewis, Aidan Newson and Ryan Weppner stood tall to help their side to victory. Josh Wilson led the way in the forward line, booting six goals and Ryan Weppner chipped in three.
Rovers’ coach, Scott Maconachie, commended his team on a great season, and thanked them for their hard work all year. Today’s umpires will be Adrian Pieters and Mick Jennings.
