The day has been labelled an overwhelming success with plenty of fun, great prizes and the chance for skaters and riders to learn new skills.
Industry professionals Renton Millar (pro skateboarder) and Jai Bradley (pro BMX rider) ran small competitions including a small competition-styled Jam for each category and a Best Trick competition.
Young people were awarded with prizes for either having a go or being chosen as one of the top riders for the day. More than 100 children showcased their talents in these sessions.
Renton and Jai also worked with some of the younger kids to help increase their skill levels.
The Rotary Club of Ararat cooked up a barbecue and there were performances from Ararat band 'Requiem' and Horsham band 'Blind eye'.
Marcus, 18, said the event was well organised.
“Looking after the young kids is what it's all about. It was a sick day, there needs to be more like it."
BJ, 19, said the jam was a good idea for the youth in the community.
"I don't think there were any kids that didn't have a good time,” he said.
Thomas, 16, said he appreciated the all-day entertainment and demonstrations from professionals.
"I personally think that it was the best skate park event Ararat has had yet," he said.
