Shea celebrated the milestone alongside team-mate Jakki Gibson, who played her 300th Wimmera league A Grade game against Nhill at Davis Park on Saturday.
They did it in style too, with the Rats defeating Nhill 75-32.
Shea said it was wonderful to reach a milestone with her partner in crime.
“We’ve played together for so many years and to share this with Jakki is an honour,” she said.
Shea, who joined the Rats in 1987, said reaching 400 games was not something she thought too much about.
“You don’t really count the games. You just go out every weekend and play,” she said.
“It becomes part of your life. My family has been involved in the club for a long time and I’ve never known anything else.”
A veteran of the game at 42, Shea is known for her durability and dynamic play.
She had hip surgery earlier this season and returned without missing a beat, continuing to top-score for the Rats each week since.
Ararat led every quarter to run out comfortable winners against Nhill.
Shea and Gibson gave their team a 16 goals to seven lead at quarter time, which they extended to 37-11 at the main break.
Nhill rebounded in the final two quarters but the Rats cruised home to win by 33 goals.
In Saturday’s other game, Horsham made it 13 straight wins for the season with a comfortable 53-32 win against Minyip-Murtoa.
Minyip-Murtoa provided a stern test for their ladder-leading opponents, outscoring Horsham in the third quarter, but the unbeaten Demons roared back in the final quarter to take the victory.
Horsham maintains its four-point lead atop the Wimmera Netball Association A Grade ladder, ahead of the Warrack Eagles.
Minyip-Murtoa is in third spot, four points clear of Dimboola.
Ararat and Stawell are both on 20 points while Saints are on eight and Nhill is firmly cemented to the bottom of the ladder without a win.
