The program is aimed at five to seven-year olds and for classes of up to 30 students, incorporates five different activities each session.
Students gain self-confidence, social skills, gross and fine motor skills (including balance), body and space awareness, visual and spacial skills as well as rhythm sequence.
Problem solving is also a focus for students. Activities included in the program are ball games, building, pushing and pulling tasks.
The Perceptual Motor Program is designed to train childrens’ nervous system so that they develop the ability to remember patterns of movement, sequences of sounds and the look and feel of things.
