Boyd took honours with a final total of 79-15-64, ahead of runner-up Ken Mahney on 81-11-70.
Mick Bextream was the nearest the pin winner on the eighth hole, while Gaye Collins finished nearest on the ninth.
The day's winner of the mystery prize raffle, which sees funds donated to the Royal Children's Hospital, went to Campbell Gibson. The Aradale Golf Club is a regular contributor to the hospital, with a donation of $1690 this year as part of the traditional Good Friday Appeal.
While he missed out in the monthly medal, Mahney had gone one better the previous day, with his 35 points earning him Saturday stableford honours.
In what proved to be a tight finish, Mahney edged out Gibson on a countback after the pair finished tied on points.
Brian Richards was nearest the pin on the ninth hole.
This Sunday's event at the Aradale Golf Club will be an open two person ambrose.
