The late Ruth Brain has definitely left a legacy of skilled administration, utilised by the ladies' running both clubs. Well done.

A key message outlined by Tatyoon's president Sue Knight was the need for volunteers in staging home games of football and netball. A combined total of 64 volunteers from the clubs are required for games to run smoothly.
This total does include the players.

The WorkSafe Game of the Month luncheon was attended by more than 100 people in a well presented large marquee. Word from the Centre Bounce found the meal excellent and the keynote speaker, David Parkin OAM, very interesting.
David, apart from football honours and awards, is also a Sport Australia Hall of Fame member and lecturer in Sports and Exercise Science at Deakin University.
The University established the annual David Parkin Oration for Sport and Social Change due to his recognised achievements in both areas.
David's passion to all areas of football was obvious, insightful and at times humorous. His concern with country football, communities and volunteers impressed the locals.
Parkin provided informative key answers to many questions asked about AFL and football in general including:
(1) Scrimmages and stoppages in AFL games averaged 80 per game in 2014, this season it is averaging 120.
(2) A scientific analysis is taking place to assess any future health impediments to players from heavy knocks.
(3) Overall clubs' spending for injured players not out on the park is 67 per cent of their salaries.
(4) A strong possibility of a national women's competition commencing in 2018.
(5) The usage of players to block or keep opponents away from the play, not required to kick, is spoiling the game.

The Master of Ceremonies for the day was journalist Paul Daffey, text writer of 'Beyond the Big Sticks' and a couple of other football books.

The grand final replay, apart from the scores, had some highlights the marking by players from both sides rates a top mention and the accuracy at goal was a highlight.
Dominance by Tatyoon in all aspects of play in the first half set up the big win and credit must go to coach Damien Cameron for his winning game plan.
My best player was Sean McDougall who also received the WorkSafe medal. The senior Worksafe netball game was a thriller with Tatyoon winning by one goal (42-41) over Moyston/Willaura. Best on court for the girls was Simone King from Tatyoon.
