A COMMUNITY parent support night is being held tomorrow at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre.

The night will feature interactive presentations and the opportunity for question and answer sessions around the topic of being a better parent, role model or mentor to the next generation.
Light entertainment and supper is provided, while there will also be a 'thank-you' given to local volunteers, mentors and quiet achievers.
Guest speakers will include leading constable David Cosgriff, CIU detective Guy Menhennitt and sports chaplain to the Sebastopol Football Club, as well as parent and grandfather, Jeff Hardy.
Ararat College chaplain Phil Stevens will MC at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre event, which will run from 7-10pm.
The event is free for anyone, while there will be an opportunity to give a monetary gift to cover supper time costs and support local community needs including Ararat North Primary School chaplaincy and the Red Shield Appeal.
The event is supported by Ararat combined churches, Ararat Police, Ararat Salvation Army Corp, local chaplains and principals and The Ararat Advertiser.
