The first quarter started off evenly with the Eagles taking just a three goal lead into the first break.
It was more of the same in the second quarter as players settled into a smooth rhythm with Alana Jenkins having a standout quarter for the Eagles scoring 12 of the team's 13 goals.
The team made some slight changes to its line-up in the third term moving Natalie Bennett into the centre to create some much needed drive through the mid court.
The third quarter belonged to the Eagles who were able to add 22 goals to their tally while restricting Caramut to just five.
Genesis Rameka was strong in defence and out rebounded the Swan's attack on numerous occasions making it difficult for them to score. The Ararat Eagles went on to win 62-34.
Wickliffe/Lake Bolac faced its match with Penshurst undermanned due to a severe shortage of players.
The Bombers pushed to a very handy 24-6 lead at the first break and continued their fast flowing game in the second, adding a further 20 goals to their tally while restricting the Magpies to just one.
Wickliffe/Lake Bolac lacked both height and accuracy in the goal circle. Kim Thom in her unfamiliar role at goal attack was encouraging and led by example in every endeavour to score more goals.
Penshurst continued their dominance in the third quarter and Wickliffe/Lake Bolac's Annabelle Millear was kept busy at goal defence in the third quarter her persistence and ability to work hard meant she was named amongst her team's best.
The Bombers went on to have a very convincing 78 goals to 15 win.
SM&W Rovers and Tatyoon put on a great spectacle for the crowd in their match at Mininera.
Bulldogs' goal shooter Peta Byrne was pivotal in the goal circle early as she proved to be the main target. The two teams went in 14 goals apiece at the first break.
The Hawks increased their intensity in the second quarter with some great defensive turnovers and being rewarded with some accurate shooting by Sara Kinnersly.
Tatyoon pushed to a four goal lead at half time before bringing youngster Maggie Astbury into the game at goal shooter and moving Blaire Spalding into the wing defence position.
SM&W Rovers stuck with their line up and played solid netball in the third quarter and took a one goal advantage into the final break.
Tatyoon again made more changes to its team bringing Mary Butler back into the circle with Astbury and Kinnersly moving into defence.
The intensity increased in the last quarter as both teams tried to gain the edge. Tatyoon had a great last quarter and went on to win 57 to 53 in what was an entertaining game of netball.
A grade ladder leaders Woorndoo/Mortlake recorded its sixth win of the season when it took on Great Western.
The Tigers pushed out to a seven goal lead at the conclusion of the first quarter. Both teams stuck with their original line-up for the second quarter as they went goal for goal.
Both defence ends were playing tight, controlled netball adding to the goalies woes. The margin pushed out one goal further at the main break.
The momentum was certainly with Great Western in the third quarter with some outstanding passages of play. Only four goals separated the two teams at the final break.
Jacqui Ralph (GK) and Erin Freeland (GD) for Great Western were making it difficult for the Tigers under the ring and caused some great defensive turnovers.
Woorndoo/Mortlake upped its attack at the ball in the last quarter and was able to score a nine goal win.
Moyston/Willaura was hoping to continue its rise up the ladder when it clashed with the unbeaten Glenthompson/Dunkeld.
The Pumas were hungry for the ball early and set up numerous scoring opportunities. Goalie Zanetta Hosking found her range early and was causing the Rams' defence some problems.
The teams went goal for goal in the first half with some great passages of netball.
The second half was similar to the first, however the Pumas made some simple errors which allowed the Rams to go on and win by three goals.
Hawkesdale/Macarthur's A grade team continued its winning streak with a resounding victory against Lismore/Derrinallum.
