The fundraiser which was this year initiated on Monday, May 11 will run through to Wednesday, June 3 at Bakers Delight bakeries across Australia, including Ararat.
BCNA and Bakers Delight are celebrating 15 years of working together to support Australians affected by breast cancer.
Each year in May, every Bakers Delight bakery across Australia donates 100 percent of the sale of Pink Buns to BCNA, through a colourful and delicious fundraising campaign.
In 2014, Bakers Delight raised more than $1 million for BCNA through the Pink Bun campaign.
In 2015, the partnership will also reach an impressive milestone with Bakers Delight having donated a total of $15 million worth of funds and pro-bono services to BCNA.
"Over 15 years, we have baked and sold almost five million Pink Buns to raise funds for BCNA," Lesley Gillespie, joint CEO of Bakers Delight said.
"The partnership has become part of the Bakers Delight culture and we want to thank all our customers over the past 15 years for giving generously to a fantastic cause."
Money raised by the Pink Bun campaign supports essential BCNA services, including the My Journey Kit, an information pack provided to people newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
The My Journey Kit is a free, comprehensive information resource specifically designed for Australians who have been newly diagnosed with early breast cancer.
It provides information in a way that is easy to understand, can help recipients make treatment decisions and work through the shock of diagnosis
More than 12,000 My Journey Kits are provided annually, and last year over 84 per cent of newly diagnosed Australian women received a kit free of charge.
"Earlier this year our 100,000th My Journey Kit was delivered. This impressive milestone would not have been achieved without the ongoing generosity of Bakers Delight franchisees, staff and customers," BCNA CEO Christine Nolan said.
During the Pink Bun campaign, Bakers Delight bakeries are adorned with messages from customers, written on colourful 'Pink Lady' paper silhouettes purchased for a gold coin donation.
Customers, staff and the community are encouraged to join together to celebrate and continue to support the worthy cause.
