The purpose built facility will be calling the Ararat Library car park, on the corner of Barkly and Queen Streets, home during that period.
The mobile kitchen is open to everyone aged 12 years and over, with classes running seven days of the week in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Ararat Rural City mayor Paul Hooper is encouraging the community to get involved in the exciting and informative program, which is devised by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and encourages people to stay active and engaged in the kitchen, helping to lead to a healthier and longer life.
"You only get out what you put in," he said.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to look at nutrition in a slightly different way, to get some ideas and learn. I absolutely encourage everyone to get on board.
"It would be a shame if this is not over-utilised."
Cr Hooper and Ararat Rural City CEO, Andrew Evans are throwing their support behind the program, with the pair putting their hands up to do some volunteering at the mobile kitchen on a weekly basis throughout the program.
"I'm not sure, potentially they may have us washing dishes who knows!" Cr Hooper said.
"We will be there to help them out in whatever they need doing, there is scope for volunteering as well as participating and it could be anything from general kitchen duties, to food preparation and that type of thing.
"I believed it has been very well received in Maryborough, so I am really looking forward to it and I hope the Ararat community grasp it with both hands."
Hands on classes in the Mobile Kitchen are led by a dedicated team of Jamie's Ministry of Food trainers and teaches people basic cooking skills including how to make a meal from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Mobile Kitchen manager, Emma Hannah said the portable facility houses five kitchens in the one space.
"It is quite an amazing thing to see once you step on board. It is very welcoming and homey," she said.
"We have people involved that haven't cooked before, so we try and really create a warm environment for people's confidence to be able to grow and eventually take their skills home and be able to cook in their own kitchens.
"Each recipe is broken down into a demonstration followed by participation into small steps. It is a really inclusive group activity and we have a lot of fun as well.
"Everybody gets to make their own and take the food home to share with their friends and family. The idea behind that is the people in the community are passing on any little tips that they've learnt to share the knowledge around."
The Mobile Kitchen will be located in Ararat thanks to the support of the Healthy Together Grampians Goldfields and Ararat Rural City.
Cr Hooper said council staff have fought hard to bring the program to the region for almost three years.
"We understand that nutrition is a major part of our Ararat Active City campaign," he said.
"That is the reason we have pushed so hard for this, we wanted to give those who haven't had the opportunity to gain knowledge in regards to nutrition to get involved in a friendly and affordable way to engage with experts.
"This is a part of the legacy we are trying to build. Looking at the transformation that has already occurred in people's lives after they got involved in Ararat Active and its programs is remarkable to watch and be part of.
"Having said that, the battle is just beginning. We have only scratched the surface of the potential of this program.
"I have said 100 times, we are incredibly blessed to have such great community leaders in this space. Jamie's Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen program was always going to be a part of Ararat Active City, it is a shame it has taken so long to get here, but lets take advantage of this opportunity now that we have it."
Bookings are open to all members of the public. Classes cost $10 per 90-minute session (over five weeks) and $5 for concession. Bookings can be made online at www.jamiesministryoffood.com.
