MDFL - Penshurst will be looking to bounce back from just its first loss of the season against Hawkesdale/Macarthur in tomorrow's Mininera and District Football League preliminary final at Lake Bolac.
The Bombers have been the competition's benchmark this season, however they stumbled in their first finals appearance last weekend against the Hawks.
Hawkesdale/Macarthur has had a good preparation leading into tomorrow's do or die final, with eye-catching victories over Glenthompson/Dunkeld and Moyston/Willaura in the past fortnight.
Both teams will be hungry for the remaining grand final spot.
Bombers coach Grant Ewing is in good form up forward and last week added five goals to his season total of 73.
Ewing also booted five goals the last time his team faced the Eagles in round 14, however could only manage one during their previous encounter in round three.
Penshurst's fortunes don't rest solely on Ewing's shoulders, with Kane Uebergang, Taylor McKenry, Luke Ferguson and Chris Eales all required to play a part.
Troy McCormack is also a handy player for the Bombers and can kick long goals.
The Eagles backline, led by Murray Habel and Steven Wythe, has its work cut out for it, however will receive plenty of support from the onballers, including Josh Reichman and Ben Julius.
Brayden Buchanan has been one of the biggest contributors for Hawkesdale/Macarthur this season, while Joel Dwyer and Shane Dowie are also hard to stop when at the top of their game.
The Bombers have been the most consistent team of the year, however that doesn't guarantee a spot in the grand final and the Eagles will make sure their opponents are made to work for it.
Tatyoon and SM&W Rovers will face off tomorrow in the reserves preliminary final for the chance to meet Penshurst in next week's decider, while in the under 16s Tatyoon takes on Ararat, with Hawkesdale/Macarthur awaiting the winner.
