The 2015 Free Lunchtime Concert series will be launched at noon tomorrow Wednesday, February 18, by the popular country music duo, The Hoffmans.
Heather and David Hoffman met in 1982 when Heather joined David's band Top Country and the two married soon after.
Spending 12 years on the Gold Coast playing the club circuit, they have since returned to their first love, which is country music.
Heather is a talented singer and entertainer who started performing at the age of seven. She has made a career as a popular entertainer, but has also completed studies in fine music at the Melba Conservatorium.
David is a seasoned session musician who started performing at the age of 13. In the late 1970s, when he was 17, he toured as a member of Normie Rowe's band and has been a fixture on the live music circuit since then.
The Hoffmans combine popular country songs and humorous banter. Their past Ararat performances have been incredibly popular, so it's great to welcome them back to launch the 2015 Free Lunchtime Concert program.
There are many other great free lunchtime concerts to look forward to this year.
On Wednesday March 11 at noon, to launch of the Jailhouse Rock Festival, a tribute show featuring the music of Elvis Presley will be performed by a veteran entertainer, Mark Caligiuri.
Mark has been wowing audiences all over the country with his performances, and this tribute show celebrates the festival's launch by honouring the greatest rock n roll star of all time, Elvis.
The incredibly talented songstress, Melanie Parry, returns to Ararat for the free lunchtime concert on Wednesday, April 15.
Melanie will present her tribute to one of Britain's greatest ladies of song, Dame Vera Lynn in 'VERA, The Magic of Dame Vera Lynn - The Story and Music of Her Life'.
Melanie re-creates the era and the beautiful voice of one of the world's greatest vocalists from the time when Dame Vera was known as the 'Forces' Sweetheart' and inspired a nation with her patriotic wartime songs.
Melanie will be accompanied by an accomplished trio of musicians on piano, double bass and drums.
There is no need to book to attend the free concerts, but if you'd like more information please phone the team at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre on 5352 2181.
