The Cutout will be held from 6pm on Friday February 6 at the Willaura Recreation Reserve.
It will be a coming together of the entire community to celebrate the end of harvest and the low cost family night includes a barbecue meal provided by the Willaura Kindergarten Parents committee, and plenty of entertainment.
Entry is $5 per person, with pre school children being admitted free. Anyone who has had a swim at Willaura's outdoor pool that evening will also be admitted free of charge.
There will be plenty of activities to entertain kids of all ages including a jumping castle, and adults will have fun too.
New to the 2015 Cutout will be the Bucking Bull. It is suitable for ages six and upwards, has various 'degrees of difficulty' and will be an exciting yet safe challenge for all who wish to try it out.
District band the Shed Dwellers will once again entertain the crowd. Last year they were warmly received by the Cutout crowd and their live music was enjoyed very much.
Health information, particularly in relation to dental issues, will be provided by East Grampians Health Service and this is a valuable opportunity for the community.
The Cutout will hopefully be a night where everyone can relax and chat with friends, get to know others, listen to the music, learn more about their health, or simply sit back and take it all in.
For farmers in particular, whose harvest roles keep them away long hours from family and friends, it will be an opportunity to catch up with news, compare harvest experiences and unwind after a stressful few months.
For partners too it is an opportunity to attend a family event where children are happy, the catering is taken care of and they too can relax.
Young people are encouraged to attend and will have an opportunity to meet up with old friends prior to their return to distant jobs and study.
Volunteers from the Willaura Community Development Group, the Willaura and District Kindergarten Parents and the Willaura Cricket Club will be working hard to ensure the 2015 Cutout will be a success.
