Racing will commence at 11am tomorrow and 10am on Sunday, with 'motor heads' encouraged to come along and enjoy the action.
Admission is free and a barbecue will be available on both days.
As well as a number of local cars participating, the highlight of the weekend will be the re-running of the 'Bucket' Challenge, which took place during November's Hill Climb.
The Bucket Challenge sees drivers race to the top of the hill using the same car (to keep conditions even) with the winner being determined on time.
This is the first time the Ararat Car Club has hosted round one of the Victorian Championships, with rounds at Gippsland, Camperdown, Rob Roy, Shepparton and Broadford to follow.
